Notifications¶
Manage your notification preferences to stay informed about connections, messages, meetings, and events.
Prerequisites¶
- A registered RU4M account
- Push notifications enabled on your device (optional but recommended)
Viewing Notifications¶
1. Open Notification Center¶
Tap the notification bell icon to view your recent notifications.
Notifications include:
- Connection requests — When someone wants to connect with you
- Messages — New direct messages and group chat messages
- Meeting invitations — When someone invites you to a meeting
- Meeting responses — When guests accept or decline your meeting
- Event updates — Announcements from events you've joined
Notification Settings¶
2. Open notification settings¶
Navigate to Settings > Notifications to configure your preferences.
3. Configure preferences¶
Toggle notifications on or off for different categories:
- Chat messages — Direct message and group chat notifications
- Connection requests — New connection request alerts
- Meeting updates — Meeting invitations and changes
- Event announcements — Updates from events you're attending
Don't miss important notifications
Keep meeting and connection request notifications enabled to stay responsive to other professionals.
Device Notification Settings¶
If you're not receiving notifications:
- Open your device's Settings app
- Navigate to Notifications > RU4M
- Ensure notifications are allowed
- Check that sounds and badges are enabled if desired
